Sew a Little Seam just released a new pattern. And this one is very special. The new Constance sweater pattern comes with many different options (puffed or normal sleeves, with our without hood, front pocket, elbow patches and even a dress version of it). It also comes in 3 months to 12 year sizes, so this is a no brain pattern buy. Anyone having kids around and loving sewing will find this sweater pattern a perfect match for many occasions.
But this one has a little extra as I mentioned at the beginning of this post. Kate from Sew a Little Seam is giving 100% of the proceeds will be given to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation. And apparently this is the first pattern of a series that will be helping the foundation.
I think this is something really cool and such an altruist project that I wanted to share it with you all. Making a pattern takes a long time, long hours of work, so doing all this for a foundation to help others is something remarkable.
The PDF pattern costs only 4USD.
I made a sweater version for my little one and I love it. I added the front pocket and the oval elbow patches and he wears it all the time.
I used a coupon of jersey that I had bought in the fabric market a few weeks ago.
Since this pattern offers so many different options and the project is pretty simple I made a sweater with hood for my oldest daughter. I am sure I will be making more sewing projects using this same pattern, I can already picture in my head a t-shirt and a tunic dress ;-)
You can find the pattern here.
What do you think of it? What project/s are you working on now?
